Well, screw that kinda lily-livered thinking. I may be wrong in how I look at the new iTunes store. In fact, I’m almost certain I’m wrong: I own stock in Apple Computers, and the value of my investment today versus its value when I bought it tells me that Apple isn’t exactly thrilling its shareholders with its visionary business model. (Obligatory paranoiac disclaimer: the preceding should not be construed as a recommendation for or against buying stock in Apple Computers. Last Plane to Jakarta and its internet presence, lastplanetojakarta.com, is not a financial advisor, and its opinions are those of its shareholders alone. It has only two shareholders and has earned roughly seven dollars during its cumulative five years’ existence. What’s worse, it wears its inability to generate income like Red Badge of Courage. Turn back! There is no hope.) But there’s wrong, and then there’s wrong, and then there’s what I did yesterday morning, which was just plain sick.
