...Continued from here

Notice the old thread was pretty full, so I fired up a new one.

The reason I'm here:

Not to get El_Josho's underpants all messy, but there have been mumblings of an Esau reunion show.

[quick summary]Drummer got engaged last spring, everyone was mad at each other, band fell apart.  Friends from Jersey are coming through, wanted us to play with them in this area, etc. etc.

I have updates regarding my uncertainty of the past.  Our drummer, who was married last month to a woman who hates his bandmates, is apparently very excited to do this show.  He is coming down this whole weekend so we call all rehearse/relearn our songs.  Our show is in just over a month from now, on March 16th.  Needless to say, we are all very excited... but still pretty uncertain.  None of us have really attempted to play these songs for more than a year now, so we'll have to see how well they all come back to us.  Keep your shit crossed for me!

In my limited experience with getting back with people I've played with before, it's like riding a bike. You gonna be fine.

Motherfuck. This job shit is giving me a panic attack. Maybe instead of going through with submitting my resume and interviewing for it I should actually just tell them that I'm not interested right now?

jeb  Heart

I know you'll manage to figure it out, but if the new position is gonna cause stress, don't feel obligated to take it.

I thought I saw mentions of this on the facebooks. I'm gonna try real hard to get back from SXSW in time to see you dudes play.

Does this mean that you dudes aren't going this year? Or going and leaving way early? It's the 12th-16th.

Augo, you should record the show in some format

Also this doesn't belong here but both the Augs are in one place so this is where it'll be said: we're playing with the Yuppies next month.

Nice Jeb! You should come play some shows here with them. So I can see you play. And see them play. Finally.

perhaps we will!  Did you get the ysi's I put up in Screaming at a Mic?

Good luck with the job situation, my man.  Jobs are mostly such a bummer.

I think I missed those somehow actually Sad

Thanks though! The thing is, I actually like this job, and could totally see staying with them for a while and "moving up in the organization" it's just not what I wanna do right now and it would severely fuck with my ability to play music regularly.

I'd just tell them that, then, Jeb. I don't see how it should be worth it to cause yourself this much stress over a position you don't really want to have anyway.

Good luck, in any case!

Yeah, considering playing music is one of the few things that's keeping me from losing it completely, I think you're right. Thanks  Cool

in 24 hours I will be getting ready to take a test in the first of THREE classes on monday. One of which is a night class from 6:30- 9:00

right now I am fevery and couldn't sleep all night. I have the cloudiest head EVER and my attempts to study russian have failed miserably.

I've already missed two classes because of this thing. I hate decisions like this.

if you're sick, there's no way you should be responsible for taking the test right now. send your teachers e-mails asap, and they must be able to set some shit up

Absolutely do not take a test if your head is cloudy and you have a fever.  Taking a test while sick is the largest academic mistake I made in college

well, that's two votes! I guess I'll call her this evening. It's times like this that I'm glad I ended up in easy college. And that even the intro class professors give out their home numbers.

You really, really, really shouldn't sit a test while sick.

Yeah, there's no shame in telling them there's no way you can take that test.

It's not like you're the first student ever to need an aegrotat, either.

I just got my hair cut short for the first time in 12 years. It's unbelievably weird (not the cut, but the fact that the back of my neck now exists). I don't know if I like it. I'm goign to dye it red this evening.
