Wow!  I'm going to start referring to coke as "The Venerable Sir Charles" in RP from now on.

Three weeks is not long enough to start worrying.

I'ma call 'em anyway. I mean, it said 8-15 days for direct deposit. I mean, calling can't hurt.

Shocked What kind of government service is this?? I've never gotten a refund in less than a month.

Do you paper-file?  I started E-filing a few years ago and I always get both state and federal refunds in about 3 weeks, sometimes quicker.

UNCERTAINTY RESOLVED

Quote
All of your refund has been paid to debts owed to the following government agencies.

You must contact that agency directly for information regarding your debt at the following number:
UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN--MILWAUKEE (ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE)    (414) 229-3114

A detailed adjustment notice has been or will be mailed.

If you have any questions about your delinquent account, visit our contact information page.

On the one hand, I could have really used that money. On the other, it's probably good to have it go towards the couple thousand dollars I owe UWM.

I am so uncertain. I have to go for an interview for my passport, 'cause they started doing that over here. I'm worried that I am going to forget some silly fact about my life and they are going to deny me and accuse me of being a terrorist indentity stealer.

How do you mean, do we have to prove who we are with an interview to get/renew the passport or something? Also, where abouts are you going?

First time applicants have to go to an interview to confirm various factoids about their life. There's offices all around the country. I am going to hull. It's bullshit because I've already spent so much money with fees, sending things special delivery, obtaining copies of my birth certificate and my parents marriage certificate because they were lost. Now I'm going to have to spend money on train tickets. All in all it's going to have cost me like £150

Eh, what else do expect from this shambles of a country? No doubt the trains will be late.  Smile

I find it pretty hard to comprehend why anyone would reject you, to say nothing of the prospect of everyone rejecting you.  But that probably isn't a very helpful comment so instead I'll say: hang in there, I know what it's like.  Maybe you should find something that utterly consumes all of your time; I had a hard time giving much of a fuck about my rejection letters when I was working 70 hour weeks.  If you don't want to leave the apartment, maybe online poker.  Or midget porn.

Better: Midget Strip Poker.

Thanks, Richard.

Well, I just got on the bus to see the clinical social worker I've been going to for a few weeks, and when I sat down I accidentally stepped on a foot belonging to the lady next to me. I immediately apologized, but probably too quietly, because I always talk too quietly, and she snapped, "You stepped on my feet!" I apologized again and then knew I was about to cry, so I got off the bus and here I am. Fuck everything.
