A Cobra Commander/Snake Eyes dichotomy might've been intriguing (though twice as offensive)

i don't know about snake eyes, but W and cobra commander have some spooky similarities.

plus, cheney could be serpentor!

dude, wtf you talkin' about, Cheney is totally Destro

but destro never really felt more powerful than cobra commander...he knew his place, he had humility. serpentor, on the other hand, always knew he was more powerful than cobra commander...hence, he's cheney.

rumsfeld is destro.

and of course condoleezza is baroness.

from national review

Quote
... Rush may win the day. An e-mail: "This conservative Texas Cornerite, Fredhead, NRDT subscriber just cast a ballot for Hillary Clinton. First time I've ever voted Dem. No way was I gonna vote for either McCain or the Huckster."

I do hazard to guess that most who voted Hillary, voted for her because they think she's easier to beat than Obama or that Republicans benefit from a long Democratic primary. But I'm just guessing ...

exactly what i was afraid of!

I'd imagine the bloc of diehard Republicans who voted for Clinton because "she's easier to beat" is considerably smaller than independent voters who would've voted for McCain were the GOP race not already decided, and voted for Obama.

davy, that was an entirely cogent argument.  I stand corrected.

I'm going to restrain myself from saying borderline creepy things about Baroness

maybe, but if 20,000 tx republicans vote big hill, and the race is real close as it looks, that could be the tide

but i think a lot of independents may go hill not obama.

Baroness is like that hot mess of a frazzled young TA you drool over in that required foundations of western thought class, only she finally loses her mind, overdoses on Vitamin Water & Luna bars in the midst of grading papers then skips town to join a overly-theatrical, snake-fetishizing global crime cult

basically, my dream girl.

back to your politik thread, folks

i don't agree with mike huckabee in pretty much anything, but durin his quittin speech, his wife looked like she was gonna cry, like she was just barely holding it back with a smile. it kinda got to me, in a weird way.

qft.  Huckabee was unpretentious, straightforward, and seemed generally pleasant, as politicians go.

Yet his presidency would have probably turned the US into a theocracy, esp. if he got a couple justices on the bench.

Who didn't see that one coming

Oh wait, I forgot to use the ultimate line of reasoning in our sham Democracy: She was gonna win anyway, my vote didn't matter

Why exactly did Huckabee wait until now to drop out, when it was mathematically impossible for him to win even prior to this? Just to keep his name out there a little longer? Seems like a pretty expensive way to go about it.

Have you heard him speak in recent weeks?  He's basically campaigning for McCain.

Actually I haven't heard anything from/about him in recent weeks. Guess that's why.

now he's an extremely powerful figure in the conservative movement. he can basically decide his own fate. if he would have got out earlier, he wouldn't have been able to hook that up.

in the future, i think we'll be seein a lot more of huckabee. like you'll wake up and he'll be masturbating a line of cum across your eye while he gouges out his gums with an iron templer cross, and mastodon plays in the background.

Also now I kind of want Clinton to win so I can personally blame pollo every time she makes a mistake for 4-8 years.

Is anyone else pretty effing shocked at how well Clinton did in OH? Considering they were calling it deadlocked two hours ago?

CNN polling shows only 16% of the Democratic primary vote fell in the 18-29 demographic.  Obama's base stayed home to smoke pot and play Halo, I guess

I mean it cuts both ways. If Obama wins I'll have a great time pointing out how the great tide of Change and Hope is failing to sweep across the nation. Smile
