Yeah, that sounds like a totally crap way to spend your night. Glad you're both fine, and sad about the Volvo, but it looks like it did its job well in protecting you. (dunno how vehicle insurance works where you are)

when i saw those serbian protest photos, one of my first thoughts was the phrase 'would you give away california' would probably not work on somebody like pollo.  i think the answer would be something like 'gladly'

That's Black Sea Hotel (the four ladies in the foreground) with a couple of members of Ansambl Mastika in the back- they shared a bill in a club called Drom.  BSH sing acappella Bulgarian songs- pretty faithfully too.

The ladies of BSH are worth naming- Corrina Snyder, Sarah Small, Willa Roberts & Joy Radish.  Class.  (Though I see from their MySpace that Joy seems to be using Nirenstein rather than Radish these days.  Pity.)
