when i saw those serbian protest photos, one of my first thoughts was the phrase 'would you give away california' would probably not work on somebody like pollo.  i think the answer would be something like 'gladly'

The Potemkin uprising was like, what? 1905? These were likely some of the folks involved in the Krondstadt rebellion.

To be fair, there were radical sailors all over the place during the October Revolution.

As of 9:30 CT, the photo accompanying this article on Jason Segel on the NYT website is definitely not right. As in, that is neither Jason Segel nor Jonah Hill!

Evidence:

there was a whole interview in our arts and entertainment section with jason segel, and our entertainment writer seemed to be first and foremost interested in asking jason segel about his full frontal nudity scenes in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

all along the watchtower?

Heh- I was surprised to learn that there is actually a place called The Watchtower.  I always just presumed it was a name for the Jehova's Witnesses magazine, nothing more.  But sure enough, there it is in all it's looming, tinted-window glory.  Watching... yes, the BQE.  And a bunch of dogs running, barking and shitting.

Is that what they were sent to witness?

Note the distressed clown and equally sullen clownhead. The black line separating "Happy" and "Birthday" is connected to a likeness of Mickey Mouse's noggin. Also, "Birthday" used to read "Birthdad"; my shout-out to Freud is here barely concealed by lumpy, phallic balloon "y."

That's my dearly departed Crocodile who's giving me a sniff. Here it's early 1990, or somewhere around the celebration of my fifth birthday, which explains why there's six candles on the cake (one extra for luck).

those clowns are awesome. it's like the clown with a body is going "wtf a floating head"

also, maybe my sense of space is messing with me, but Crocodile looks huge.
