blue and pink are both masterpieces of pop in my opinion. green isn't quite a masterpiece, but it's quite enjoyable. haven't heard the rest of their catalog except the singles.

Maladroit
's all right. It's got "Keep Fishin'" which was a damn good single and it's also got "Slave" which is maybe the best post-
Pinkerton
Weezer song. (EDIT: Oh hay,
"Slave"'s on imeem
, awesome, haven't heard this song in a minute)
Make Believe
is as rank as everyone says it is.

yes. it's great. and the single version of "Keep Fishin" was my favorite Weezer song until I heard "Susanne" on the deluxe edition of the blue album.

blue
and
pinkerton
are both 10s, if for different reasons.
green
was a letdown and an insult on par with
the phantom menace
. it's a 3.
maladroit
was better, but still a disappointment, and just a touch above average in the power pop game. i'll give it a 6.
and jesus christ, after hearing the singles, i never even listened to
make believe
.
seriously though, the first two albums are both in my all-time top 20 or so.

Pinkerton is amazing, but in the context of their larger catalog you almost have to consider it a fluke
and I do. What the hell happened?

seems like the exit of the original bassist coincided with the drop in quality.

Refrigerator - Comedy Minus One
So, I'm browsing my CD collection looking for something to listen to and I run across this. I remember picking it up in Santa Cruz last year, listening to it once and forgetting about it. I'm enjoying it a lot more this time. 'Freeway Close', 'Twilight Show' and 'Little Red Riding Hood' are all good songs I didn't notice upon first listen.

Well I started playing Metallica properly a few days ago and thought they were awesome until I noticed that the
whole fucking album
of Master of Puppets is in E minor. Individual songs are great but I can't handle one-key albums. It's not even a fucking gimmick like with the Raveonettes.

Calcutta Slide Guitar Volume Three
. It's one of the few things I bought from iTunes when they opened the Music Store in Australia and someone gave me a gift card. Wish I had it physically.

So doesn't that mean it's actually in the key of G, since E is the relative minor of G?
