What the hell is with people who wound themselves and then take pictures of it, instead of fucking treating the damn thing? You people are deeply insane.

Acquaintances? They came and stayed at Campbell's and my house once, and we had mutual friends in Auckland. Knew her to say hi to I guess, but its been a while and i dont know that she'd remember me.

They left early the next morning and I got up to find her performing wig hanging in the bathroom to dry... Which was a bit disturbing first thing.
They're nice folk, and fun live (though I never got their records at all). It's nice they're doing well too.

Did treat it! this was several hours later, when the bandages were soaked in blood and then fell off!

OMG that's awesome. I suppose that they're not used to hot food (New Mexico really likes hot things) and they commented on how the corn chips had a bit of heat to them. I laughed and laughed. They also had their first tamales, it was adorable. When I see them in a few days, I will mention you both Surprised

So I just went to the co-op to buy myself some dinner, and for some reason my card didn't go through. Could be that I just transferred money into it, or I don't know what. Anyway, the dude volunteering was a guy I used to work with at the other (bigger, more-run-like-a-corporate-enterprise) co-op and who plays in one of the bigger hardcore bands in MKE. Anyway, I offered to put my stuff back, and he said, "Oh, don't worry about that. You want me to just loan you 15 bucks? It's no big deal. I trust you." Which was pretty awesome. And an example of fine, outstanding customer service!

I almost forgot to tell you that I may have saved my entire neighborhood from exploding in a fiery, um, exploding thing last night. From my front window, there was this flickering light coming from the direction of the streetlight in front of my neighbor's house. It looked strange, so I went out to the street to investigate and the power line had sparks coming out of it in two places. (It looked like a big sparkler, and made that zzzzzz electrical noise.) I called 911, the police came (with their lights), then the fire truck (with their lights) and then the electric company (with their lights). None of my neighbors even seemed to notice any of it. They're lucky I'm up late!  Wink

Yeah, but the alternate reality in which I did not call 911 might have been more interesting. Despite the sparks and all the lights, nothing really happened in this one. I didn't even lose power.

On the night that flickering sparks came from a streetlight that almost killed my neighbors I swore to dedicate my life and my inheritance to bringing all buzzing streetlights, and other hazardous electronics, to justice. By day, I am Chris, avid poster of lptj. At night, streetlights, a cowardly and superstitious lot, call me... girl.
