I played tetris with my friend all night. 2player, and not the one with a split screen, it was a co-operative 2player, where we shared a screen and my blocks came from the right side and his from the left. it was really really fun. god bless you, Alexey Pajitnov.

I got to ride on the back of a scooter tonight. Finally. After 2.5 years in Italy. I did not fall off, thank god.

Been riding through
this mess
every day recently, which is kind of cool but also completely fucks traffic along that stretch of Lincoln.
I'll be sure to let you know if there's a Johnny Depp sighting.

Thanks guys. It went pretty well, at least as far as turn out was concerned, despite the torrential rain that was pouring down. A decent amount of press were there, so hopefully we'll get enough coverage. There were a couple of good speakers, and when the silent march took place those passing by were pretty respectful. At the end we got hitch on the phone from the detention centre he's been imprisoned at, and a friend of his relayed his message, which was pretty moving and a good reminder at the centre of all this a young man's life is getting screwed with.

Oh. A few weeks back a student and an administrator were arrested on campus after someone (a member of the uni staff) saw them in possesion of a document that they thought suggested they were involved with terrorism. The document had been taken off the F.B.I website, and is easily available in other places. They were both kept under arrest for a week before being released, the day they were released on of them, the administrator was re-arrested on charges he was in the country illegally, (he's not, and has been living and working in the UK for eleven years), and the home office are now trying to rush his deportation through by June 1st. The university have not come to his defence at any point, and in fact have attempted to pass of their original behaviour and that of the police as the e correct rational course of action. So, I suppose it was a protest demanding that students and academics should have a right to studing material that other's might not like, hence lots of free speech banners at the march, along with alot of the protesters marching with a gag across their mouths. Tied in with there's the point of rasing further awareness about the draconian handling of immigration and deportation in this country.

There are a number of new articles relating to the proposed deportation and giving various analytical views of the whole incident, so take a look if you want:

That shit is never fun. I have seen random strangers have seizures twice in my life (in one case done the recovery position thing and got the guys foaming spit all over me) and its awful. not as bad as having one prolly, but still, yikes.

Weather forecast for Omaha for tonight, according to accuweather.com:
"Thunderstorms, some severe; breezy; there can be large and devastating tornadoes"
Something about that just amused the heck out of me. Like, "Yeah, so there will be some rain with a little thunder to go with it, a nice cool breeze, and OH YEAH YOU'RE ALL GOING TO DIE."

Oh man, screw this. It's all going right around us. Weak sauce. That little blob just northwest of Lincoln might hit us if it doesn't dissipate first.

So, tomorrow I got a day of traveling to do and have to be up in six hours. I've nothing to watch, and have had a couple too many to read, so my question is do I pour myself another drink and just figure that I've got a good number of hours on buses and trains to catch up on my sleep, or do I play it smart and hit the hay now and be just moderately hung over tomorrow.
