Ice-T vs. Soulja Boy

I hadn't heard about the original beef that led to this video, but watching it provided all the context I needed, and what's more, it's hilarious and awesome throughout its length. Everyone who cares about hip hop should watch this video. It will probably amuse you greatly.

i'm probably the only person in the world (besides my friend thomas) who believes that ice-t's most significant contribution to the arts was his performance in
surviving the game
.
and that's not even meant as a slight to his skills as a rapper. i just really love that movie.

I vote for his hosting of the C-Murder DVD
Straight From the Projects

If I was Soulja Boy, I would definitely shape up. You do not want to cross with his crew

For those of you following at home, this is the timeline, far as I can make out:
First, Ice-T disses Soulja Boy
Quote from: jebreject on Jun 26, 2008, 08:08:08 AM
well, as far as i can tell, the track in question is just ice t ranting about soulja boy:

Then,
Soulja Boy responds to Ice-T
Which leads to Ice-T's "apology" that kicked this discussion off.

That reminds me of the part in the video where Ice-T says something like, "My reputation's MADE, I don't ever have to make another rap album again!" It's honestly true. Having made "Power" and "Freedom Of Speech", his place in history is assured.

Totally agreed. My only qualm with that particular film is that Gary Busey dies first. I'd have liked to have seen more Busey.
