That's great.

Greg, have you read any of Joe Sacco's Palestine comics?

I have, but a long time ago.  I don't remember being super thrilled by them, but then, I barely remember them at all at this point.  I think I own both Palestine and Safe Area Gorazde, if you wanted to borrow either; I just have to make sure I didn't sell 'em to the Strand at some point.

I read about a quarter of Palestine the other night, and was not very enthralled either.

New Zealand comics weekend is next weekend, and I just got myself the  task of being there all weekend to entertain and wrangle children, should there be any there. I do so hope they like sitting quietly and drawing.

Actually that's a pretty wicked idea. i think we're trying to keep things comics related - i could get them slaving away making figurines of their favourite comic characters.

That is an excellent idea. Also, make sure to reference 24 hour comic day.

What's really strange is that Onstad evidently unceremoniously killed the Achewood store, as well. I discovered this when I went to purchase some books for a friend today and couldn't find a single mention of the store anywhere on the site. Weird.
