I got a set of glasses to try on from Warby Parker. I liked 'em, but am too lazy to upload photos of that first batch. But next week, I'll post some Round 2 Photos before I buy a pair.

We did a Zenni order!
The sunglasses seem a bit more amber than grey but I think I'm OK with that. The other glasses look a little weird but maybe I it is the switch from the poly-carbonate lenses to slightly thicker ones? (That is my older pairs are both 1.59; this one is 1.57.)
Also I may try to replace both pics with close-ups or somesuch but hey.

The stylishness improved by the knowledge that you probably paid about $50!

It's true that you look very different in both of those pairs, but I think they both suit you very well. You look a lot like justinh in that top one...

A hinge on my glasses broke this weekend and it is being held together currently with Superglue. Between that and the fact that I have not seen the eye doctor in maybe 8 years, I think I need a new pair. Is the general LPTJ consensus that Zenni is a good site, or are there others I should look at?

I think I rep for Zenni harder than I've ever repped any other business. Solid, dependable glasses for like ten bucks. O brave new world!

Last time I ordered glasses from them, I had the glasses in my hands two weeks after ordering. This time, it's been more than two weeks, and my glasses order is still being "processed".

I was really satisfied with my Warby Parker experience, but they set me back a hundo.
Also, EM! That picture upthread is adorable! Great specs.

Yeah what's the scoop on their delivery time? I was thinking of throwing an order their way but if I do, I need my specs by March 9th (2.5 weeks from now)...is that likely to happen?

Also are there any extreme discount contact sites online? I usually buy mine from Costco, usually $25/box

GUYS
So the "Pupillary Distance" was left off my prescription. I called my optometrist (who's 45 minutes away) on Monday and left a message to ask if they had it on file, and could provide it to me, or if I could come in and just get it measured. No response, so I called another optometrist here in the town where I live, and the woman I talked to said that an optometrist will never write down or provide the PD on your prescription even if you ask for it, for liability issues. I chatted the lady up and tried to sweet talk her in letting me come in just to have it measured (even offered to pay a nominal fee) and she wasn't down. So, question: I just took a tape measure into the mirror and measured it...if it's off my a mm or two, will I lose all depth perception and drive my car into a ravine? Is that lady full of shit? Did you guys stand like douchebags in front of your mirror, squinting and measuring your eyes? If so, did you glasses turn out OK? Let mo-mo know 'cause he needs to place this fuckin order like right now.

That lady lied to you. My optometrist wrote it down for me as soon as I asked.
