Some days, I'd really like some kind of "ease up, I live with this guy" card. Actually, I probably would have gotten significantly better grades if I could have just pulled that now and again.

June sucked so hard.  July has to be better!  I hope things start looking up for you, D.

You too BAoH!  A lot of the times being sad without something to be sad about is even more depressing because there's no fix.  Everything just sucks.

Today I am sad because yesterday I got let go from my job in the most unceremonious of styles. By someone I thought was my friend. Then I had a dream about doing something not so nice to her and now I feel a little less shitty but still really sad. The end.

Little girl spiked a big fever last night. First time she's been sick. Had to hold her down to give her the medicine. She was wailing, then cried 'mama' in a tone I wish I could know I'd never hear again. Had to leave the room to cry, felt like my heart was being clawed out of my chest. Please get well soon, baby.

This is the part of parenthood I knew was going to hurt.

Hang in there, everybody.

Thanks, dudes. She now has a rash, but at least her fever is down. That was the scary bit. Fingers crossed it passes quickly.

Mmmm...postviral rash, my favourite. At least it shouldn't itch or hurt her. E had a ripper of a one in between Chirstmas and New Year, and it cleared up after a few days. Looked scary though. Fevers in the small ones scare the crap out of me too. The big boy used to get really high ones whenever he got sick with anything. I hope that HT is feeling back to her normal self very soon.

Blerg, sickness of relatives. I was worried when my mother had this unbelievable hacking cough the other week, and was all "should I go check if she's breathing" at night. With children it'd be like that worry x60,000.

Oh man, I know what that's like... I couldn't sleep when I was younger if I saw a bug in the house and left a door open because I was certain it would crawl into my mom's throat and suffocate her. If she was actually sick I was basically unable to think about one other thing for more than 45 seconds at a time. Luckily, she was pretty healthy for the most part.
