Does this website look trustworthy enough that you would give them your credit card details? http://www.cccp-shirts.com/ I'm not entirely certain, myself, but I'm quite certain that I do need an Avangard Omsk t-shirt and don't have a lot of patience to search for one and this was the only place I found. It's hard to look up any info on the vendor, because searchinf ro reports about cccp shirts mostly just brings up countless other sources of Soviet nostalgia merchandise, which is another thing I have no patience to wade through.

Alternatively, other ideas for such t-shirts (or caps, I guess) are welcome. The only thing ebay brings up are Jaromir Jagr jerseys that cost a fortune - I'm neither ready to pay that kind of prize, nor do I have any interest in owning hockey jerseys.

This looks a little shady:

"Your order will be shipped from private person as gift. You not will be pay custom charges!"

which, y'know, I'm always happy when it's done that way, but it strikes me as a little odd to advertise it as such.

Uh... on second thought, maybe hang back on that one.

You can always make one for yourself by pulling the (kick ass) Avangard Omsk image from the net and printing it onto a shirt. I promise you, it's what those guys did.

Considering the very many licences they would need to have bought to sell some of the stuff they do, and the likelihood that they actually have done so, they're breaking at least one set of laws.

Oh wow, I just lost a bunch of time there...I have an excellent Russian t-shirt that I stole from a Russian boyfriend. It has Gorby and says 'perestroika' and 'glasnost' and it's made from really scratchy thin cotton..

I'd like a Stoli t-shirt though.

I'm not sure how sketchy that website is, I mean the English is dodgy which never helps in figuring that stuff out...

Worst case scenario your cc company just takes care of it after they run all over the world using your card.

perverse incentives they've created.

Alex: I'm always asking companies to do that customs thing and it's only the little guys who are courteous/desperate enough to make the concession. Go ahead, just read your statements... or screenprint your own damn shirts!
