I'd agree with you if I didn't feel like I was a pretty good dad today. That always puts a positive spin on otherwise BLERGH days.

I've been spending a fair amount of time over the past couple days cleaning out my inboxes--more than 2,000 emails between my yahoo and hotmail accounts. It needed to be done. But just a little while ago, I came across a series of 4 year-old emails that chronicled a not-very-amicable parting of ways between a particularly shady employer and I. I don't know why I read through them, but I did. What a fucking asshole, that guy. Now I'm all pissed off again.

I guess I was a good dad today, since I dropped everything and rushed to where Mindy's car was broken down on the highway (driving my boss's car) so that Mindy and Ian wouldn't freeze on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck that took 2 hours to come, only to find out once the car was towed to a shop (and to the tune of something like a hundred bucks) that the engine of the car was completely fucked and the car is basically a fuckin useless giant hunk of metal now.  I guess being a good dad and husband is a thing to take out of that

So, it turns out I mailed another fucked disc to the magazine I submitted my images to. Rrrrreal fucking professional. And let's not talk about the combined $50 in overnight shipping between the two discs. Honestly, the people who are running the contest should be sainted merely for the fact that they contacted me to re-request my images a second time after a second fucked disc instead of trashing the first one and moving on with their lives. I can't say I've been that nice in a similar position. This time around, I've just uploaded everything on my website and I'm praying everything works because I'm trying really really hard not to look like an asshole here. Really.

goddamn, my ass is sore. probably this is just a function of sitting around on my ass too much recently (I accidentally left my running shoes in Connecticut, a situated to which I've responded by . . . not running), but because I'm borderline hypochondriac I am a bit perturbed by the gnawing fear that I have hemorrhoids.
