Also any text formatting, invisi- or otherwise, is a moot point to those of us who have less-than-top-notch web browsers on our less-than-top-notch "smart" phones.

Spoiler hysteria annoys me, there ought to be a middle ground where you can discuss something without resorting to vague innuendo or outright coughing up crucial plot points

I understand the desire for spoiler warnings, I guess, and I do take it into consideration most of the time. But I also hate the hysterical reactions to having a plot point spoiled. Is that really so much of the experience that it ruins it for you?

If it's a better show than Lost, yes

I guess it's just not that important to my experience. I had Omar's death "spoiled" for me, and it didn't lessen the impact at all.

I would think the spoiler stuff would be even more important for something like Lost or Galactica, where the excitement is less about the stellar writing, and more about "ooooh what's gonna happen next???"

Fair point with BSG: I don't think I'll ever watch that show again because all it had going for it was the "What's gonna happen next" factor. Lost, by all rights, should be like that as well, but it's far and away more ludicrous than BSG, so spoilers are pretty meaningless. You could make up anything, post it as a spoiler, and people would have no reason to doubt it until they watched the episode.

I couldn't disagree more. The "What happens next?" factor was actually a source of dread for me when I was watching that show, because most of the things that happened next depressed the shit out of me. I was into the characters. There's not a single character on LOST that I give a shit about any more. Maybe there never was.

Yeah I think the only character from a recent scripted drama I've cared less about than Kate Austen would be Kara Thrace

In Season One, Locke was my homeboy. In Season Two, Ecko was.

I liked Rose a lot, also, back in the Day

Thanks writers, for apparently fucking all that up

Locke is still pretty much my homeboy.  Also: Ben.  At this point, I have now named the two most compelling characters/actors in this entire show.

She definitely fell from grace. I had a lot of love for Starbuck circa Seasons 1 & 2.

Really though davy I can kinda see your point about relative character depth, but it was different with BSG (for me at least) in that they built up a pretty big reservoir of goodwill during the first 2.25 seasons and then squandered it, while Lost was pretty dumb from the jump.

No, I agree with that. It was a legendary squandering. I was just too attached to jump ship.

With Caprica now airing, I've actually been thinking about rewatching BSG from the beginning. Knowing what's going to happen may allow me to enjoy it a bit more. The disappointment factor won't be an issue.

The end of BSG was so bad that I have no desire to ever watch the series over again. I've actually even stopped trying to get other people into it. That was a monumentally awful last season.

Couldn't you guys like start a Lost thread or something though? I want to be disappointed and grow to hate the show on my own.

Jesus Christ Parks & Rec this week is fucking _hilarious_

Like probably the best so far and way better than 30 Rock's been all season.

Each season the corporate sponsors keep stepping in further and further. It's nuts. I almost don't believe Tim Gunn when he says "make it work."

Though I kind of like Campbell's because their magical heiress gives my alma mater a lot of goddamn money.

Good to know - I'm looking forward to tonight now!

I thought last Sunday's Big Love was mostly a little bit less  cringeworthy than the third episode. If they don't go beyond that level of ridiculousness again, I may well make it to the end of the season.

I'm still dumbfounded by this show's popularity. Based on the three or four Parks & Rec I've seen, it's the least-funny television comedy since Two and a Half Men. Actually it's worse.

Well the one before this was the worst episode yet, and last night's was the best, I think. So it varies wildly in quality. But last night's had D and I rolling.

"What's that?"
"This? This is a harp I constructed last night, after having six more glasses of whiskey. Here are pictures of me drinking the whiskey while holding up yesterday's newspaper."

As regards Caprica, I kind of love how the Tauron culture is basically every stereotype about brown people tossed into one basket.
