Well the one before this was the worst episode yet, and last night's was the best, I think. So it varies wildly in quality. But last night's had D and I rolling.

"What's that?"
"This? This is a harp I constructed last night, after having six more glasses of whiskey. Here are pictures of me drinking the whiskey while holding up yesterday's newspaper."

I laughed very, very hard at this.

I was howling. That guy, Nick Offerman, is a goddamn comic genius.

Probably my favorite character. Every time they've given him a spotlight it's been awesome. I could watch that man pretend to have a hernia for days.

I liked: "But isn't all food bad for you? I’ve been eating lasagna and muffins every day of my life for 40 years and I feel terrible."

I was reading somewhere that all the strip club breakfast buffet moves were improv and that essentially everyone on that show agrees he is the funniest, I think?

I'd buy that. Ansari probably has more bigg laffs per episode, but Offerman does the best beset straight man I've seen in a long, long while.

The Q&A and HFCS stuff was also brilliant! There were like a dozen good jokes within the span of 3 minutes; I wanna watch it again.

I'm in agreement with everyone who has weighed in here.  I think that guy is the most consistently enjoyable thing about that show.  I didn't really think so at first, but he won me over a couple episodes in.

Offerman is married to Megan Mullally (who played one of his ex-wives in an aweosme episode earlier this season). I'm not, like, some huge Megan Mullally fan, but for some reason I think that's awesome.

Ugh, no wonder I stopped watching the morning news shows. This shit is intolerable, particularly in the morning. Pretentious people interrupting each other to say stupid things loudly.

I wonder what's on SyFy right now.

I think it's been that way for quite a while.

I honestly don't know how I watched so much MSNBC in 2008. A Chris Matthews commercial just came on that was so heinous I stopped what I was doing to properly focus my disdain. It basically consisted of him sitting in a chair and talking about how much he loves winning arguments and making guests look stupid on his show.

Also, I've been watching since 8:15 and someone just now mentioned the Super Bowl for the first time.

They mentioned the Super Bowl this morning, around 7 AM

I turn on Morning Joe sometimes when I'm getting ready for work. It's not pretentious, it's too stupid to be pretentious. Just like the rest of MSNBC.

It's more unbearable than Fox & Friends, come to think of it. At least Fox & Friends is funny

Big Love is fully embracing its potential for utter ridiculousness now and cramming as many senselessly baffling developments and plot twists as they can within an episode, but I admit I loved the "How come I'm always the one who has to do the morally ambiguous things" Nicki line.

Way to go Lost, you effectively neutralized all that goodwill built up by the season premiere with a poorly-written leg-humper of an episode

If seasons 3-5 are composed of too many of these lame water-treading episodes I'm gonna go a little crazy

Yeah Jesus H. Fuck was that a bad episode.  Dear Lost: Kate sucks 100%.  Every time she red-herring dies, I want to cheer but I know I will be ultimately let down.

On the plus side, I guess we've got the obligatory Kate-centric episode out of the way. I'm sure there'll be another one, but we can all breathe again in the meantime
