wow, been listening to a bootleg version of
Regardless of how the album
would
have sounded, the bootleg is great and superior to the Brian Wilson version from 2004 IMO. it's not really psychedelic and more just magically falling into the rabbit hole and enjoying the sights. Reminds of of Montreal's more crazier poppy albums
The Gay Parade
and
Coquelicot Asleep in the Poppies
, but more honest and less retro. Take this 8 minute suite of
Heroes and Villains
for example, it's all over the place but an absolute ear candy.
