- Today I reached new lows in lack of motivation
+ So I stayed in and cooked a huge pot of chilli and baked some cornbread
- I stupidly didn't realise I wasn't using self-raising flour
+ Cornbread that doesn't rise still is cornbread

Coming in belatedly on the age discussion, 21 has been the best year of my life so far. Hopefully it'll just keep going up from here, although even number years seem to jinx me a bit. THIS year, though, ain't NOTHING can fuck with me (tentatively). Also I was gonna make chilli, haifive Marinus.
So, er,
+Life is generally stellar, and tomorrow Mum gets back and I go on a Slutwalk, woo!
- I will be fucking exhausted, and I have no chilli

- Missed bus, had to take expensive cab to unpaid internship.
- Cab driver charged me $20 on a $15 fare, claiming that the dispatcher said it was 15 plus a $5 dollar tip. Though this cost me only $2 above what I would have chosen to tip, the fact that he claimed a mandatory, inflated tip struck me as utter bullshit, and I said as much.

+ Found an envelope from this "Project Neon" loaded with excellent stuff before I left the house!

The funny thing is that my old area is like a four-second walk from where I sit now. It's really just a case of the air conditioning manages to cool the air in a 10'-20' radius of where it's coming out, and everywhere not within that radius is hot as balls.

+Snow like a motherfucker (this never happens in Wellington), everyone's going mad about it
-It's cold
+Boything bought me daffodils at work and all my coworkers were like ooh and my boss was like "PDA, a public display of affection" and I was like "OLD MAN HAS DISCOVERED ACRONYMS"
-Some idiot put them back on the shelf
+Someone brought them through my checkout and I was like "hey those are mine", thank fuck
+I dreamed I was at a Sleater-Kinney gig and jammed Step Aside with Corin Tucker and others just before the show
-I am in the process of trying to get our flat clean and it is sort of progressing but Saturday was unbelievably hard and everyone is sick and stressed out and taking stupid destructive patterns and I am not sleeping enough and I have RSI and every time I talk to anyone about dudething's imminent departure (3 days) I start crying so all these rather good things are still good but accompanied by stressbuckets. Erf.

-and that close, I've come to a grinding halt. I have to get this done today
-and once it's done, I can start straight on the next one.

That's super rough Clare! I am late to everything, so 6:30 start time just would not work for me. In fact, that's what I came here to say:

- I am late to everything
- so often that it is starting to be a defining characteristic.
-/+ I think my apartment is located in some kind of time warp.
+ I saw a family of barred owls today and heard their juvenile signals which I'd never heard before.
+ my cats get along great now and lick each other all the time.

I start at 6:30 most days of the week.  However, since I work from home, I wake up at 6:15.

I could not do a 6:30 start time.  Period, end of story.

Well, it's the 'having to go go bed at 9:30' that I dislike as much as anything. Along with the 'feeling like I have no life outside work'.
