Since then, I have tried to avoid contact. As indeed, I will do from now on.

I hope that's clear, you strange, strange person.

See, a message like that would be great if I got it. Funny.  I like it.

What Milly said. Though I can also understand Nick's reaction for sure.

Is there any way to revisit particular days in your facebook feed? Like, if I wanted to check up on a status update I may or may not have posted a year ago, how would I do this?

From what I can tell, you could just sit for hours clicking the "see more" link on your wall, but there are a couple of FB applications that appear to help you find them in some way. There are at least three mentioned in this thread: http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=6628568379&topic=11641

I have succumbed to the social pressures and, under some protest, have finally gotten a Facebook account. So now a few people from the before time (the long, long ago) have friended me or whatever. What's the etiquette on that? Am I supposed to say hi to them or something?

If you want. In most cases, it's not expected.

Found you! Through trolling Jim's friend list. I also found another LPTJ-er, but I'm not quite sure which one as I'm absolute shit when it comes to remembering people's real names. I think I know who it is, but I'm not sure.

Actually, I didn't recognize your name at first, but I figured it out from the picture.

Yeah, I try to maintain some halfassed level of plausible deniability about what I say on here (mostly in the MHC) and what's directly connected to my public online presence. I don't really expect a potential employer to go after me too badly, but you never know.

I've often wondered what presidential campaigns are going to do about all this internet stuff 10-20 years down the road. We're going to reach a certain point where NOBODY will be clean anymore.

I'm pretty sure the voting public will stop caring since they're all going to be on Facebook with so-called compromising pictures as well. Sort of like how people have stopped giving a shit that politicians smoked pot in college.

I did actually find some college-era photos of myself on some other people's Facebook pages, but I'm not particularly worried about them. There's alcohol involved, but no beer bongs or strippers. The greater crime is probably my wardrobe at the time.

I'm in favour of that day. I mean: I hope the day comes when people actively decide what dirt they care about and what dirt they don't, rather than just being scandalized by scandal.

But the tide is turning, though, right? I mean, aren't both of the last two presidents confessed/convicted cokeheads?
