does anybody remember a pair of contraptions called 'moon boots' making their childhood games of freeze-tag about a katrillion times more challenging? not those awful looking things put out by tecnica or whatev... these were foot-high oval rings of plastic with thick rubber bands stretched between them holding foot panels in place, which had velcro straps to hold your feet on. bounciness + clompiness = pretending to be robots in space for hours.

Nati: Please add a poll to this thread asking which song goes best with taking jumping pictures: Van Halen's "Jump" or Kriss Kross' "Jump"?

I have to vote Kriss Kross.

It's Van Halen for me, but I really wish it was Kris Kross.

the kriss kross tune is more conducive to "hopping", i've found.

actual jumping? not so much.

fuck y'all i spent a hangover day at home watching 50 first dates and suffering with an eternal hangover! something red and meaty came out of my stomach, crawled into the kitchen, and spikes shot out of its blowholes. the last thing i want to do is JUMP.

jumping, to the max. haha... thinking about how vomiting in your own face mid-air would be unfortunate.

I tried to pioneer "just jumping about for a bit" as a new exercise fad.

by pioneer I mean, I jumped around my house for 15 mins.

I like how House Of Pain has been d3nyed in this battle of the "Jump"s.

But I don't like how the Pointer Sisters have been.  Their Jump (For My Love) is the only competition with Van Halen for best "Jump" song, IMO.

First of all, thank you, nati1107, for helping me remember the name of that photographer. That page goes right in my bookmarks.

Second: for fun, go here and click on "Jump On It." I swear, that was so amusing the first time I saw it.
