Happy Gibbo Day! It counts here 100x more than it does on Facebook.

That empty dish on the table in front of me is where the crème brulée used to be. Yummmmmmm.

If it was a film, would it be The Remains of the Brulée?

Happy birthday, and may you continue to discover cult Australian music before I do.

There was this one band, super-obscure...they opened for The Dingbats once and I think their singer killed himself.

They called themselves In Excess, I think?

 Cool

Yeah, tha was on the Unchained Mystics Tour in '79.  There's a bootleg floating around somewhere of Hutchence getting sprayed with a firehose midset by the D'bats' Traynor Kreuger.  It was the apex of their tour prank war that eventually ended when Andrew Farriss sustained a minor electrical shock when he took an axe to some of the power running to the stage as the 'bats took their encore.

Fuck, I wish I could've seen that. My aunt was there; she told me the Dingbats guest saw player (I'd write her name but I don't think I can spell it and don't want to try) grabbed Garry Gary Beers in the middle of "Elegantly Wasted", handed him about 10 beers and screamed "Carry carry beers!!!". It wasn't til after she ran offstage that his bass exploded; she'd sneaked firecrackers in there, all different colours.
