The top one is FACE OF BOE. He's insanely stupid, very sweet, and runs around like a little bewildered ewok. I'm going to have a hard time handing him off to a new home. This is the first time I've been tempted to keep a foster kitten in years!
Little calico girl is Donna. She's the brains behind the operation. She figured out that if she shoves her siblings into a corner, she can use them as a step ladder to escape quarantine. She's going to make someone's life really difficult.
The totally batshit-looking smokey grey and orange fuzzy thing is Amelia. She's the least impressed by humans, but definitely the best hunter of the group. She properly stalks and pounces on the fur mouse toy, and hisses at it when it gets the best of her. I hope she and Donna will go together!

YES, especially that great blue color, because they're always sooooo soft. Or a calico because I like them. We need a girl cat. Neeeeed.

I'm on the screened-in porch with my dog. The neighbor's cat keeps tiptoeing by, sending the dog into a noisy and mellow-harshing conniption. The cat just walked by for the third time this hour. At this point, it's difficult not to ascribe malicious (or at least mischevious) intent.

Oh good lord, if I didn't think my dogs would eat and/or torture them I would be on the kitten-adopting bandwagon faster than you would believe. SO CUTE.

He is a puffy guy!
And yeah, that's Caliban up on the bookshelf. The cats have both figured out how to leap up to the small bookshelf, then up to the big one.

He's paying attention to you, but the ear is keeping watch in case something interesting happens in that direction.
Also, the colors in those pictures are AWESOME. The bright blue and the lighter blue and the yellow. Excellent.

4 am stupid cat moment: Art jumps on the bed and curls up next to me, then rolls over and digs his claws into me as he tries not to fall off the bed. It's not quite puke, but it's definitely not one of my top ways to wake up.

Kovu, brazenly on the kitchen bench.
Mort, in a box that is too small.
My mum's dog Honey came to stay for a few days while her humans were away. She's pretty silly, but hasn't eaten the cats yet.

We might be getting a dog at Dad's! Hopefully it'll go better than the daschund my crazy ex-stepmother got, aptly (and foolishly) named Kinski. Current stepmother is not crazy, so it should go fine. I've never really had a pet dog before; Kinski doesn't count much in my mind for some reason, probably because I was about 8 when they put him down.

I am dogsitting my friend's mountain cur River, I will try and get pics and post them here. She is an excellent squirrel hunter, or at least I think so. I believe if she wasn't on a leash she'd have gotten a couple of them this morning when I walked her.

This is awesome! My chubby cat likes to hang out in an orange box about this size. Cracks me up.
