Those are great! Especially the last one of Scout.
We got Wriothesley an IKEA cat tunnel. He really likes it!

He looks like he is turning into a pretty big fellow! Emphasis on pretty.

You should do this! (in all your spare time, I know)...

When I finally got to meet him around Memorial Day, he was way, way bigger than I expected! He is not the tinycatman that he was in previous pictures.

not what I was supposed to be doing, but I needed a break from slaving over the hot stove:
Mojo and other backgrounds to follow tomorrow. and maybe I'll do a better masking job then...

I love that, mixed cats! Is Linus the one who obsessively scratches in the litter tray too?

Yep. He digs at the walls and the air and everything around him except the litter. So his poo goes uncovered until Hugo sighs and does it for him.

That's quite a relationship they've got going! I didn't realise he was a failure at it though, just thought he was obsessively overdoing it, which is what Kovu does - he digs around for so long he ends up uncovering it again...

Hugo does it later, secretly, when he thinks no one is looking! That's the best part.
Linus is
trying so hard to do a good job
but he rarely gets it right. Sometimes he does something (like, say, manages to get his head under the shade to look out the window, instead of pawing at it from the wrong side for ten minutes) and we're all, "Oh! You're a real boy!"
I think my mom's cat does what Kovu does! Her litterbox is a warzone.

I once again put out a call for anyone who'd like to adopt an adorable black kitten who will most likely be three-legged in the near future but who seems to scoot around just fine on his three working legs:

I like the little black kitty, but the flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz have always terrified me!

hey cat peeps: Mojo's lip is swollen, and she's a bit sniffely. she gets sniffely now and then (she had pneumonia when she was a baby) and I feel like maybe her lip's been a bit swollen in the past, but not this much. I give her lysine supplement to help with the sniffles... but should I be worried about the lip? do I need to take her to the vet asap, or wait and see? she seems otherwise fine--she's eating and playing and all.

If she's eating and playing, it's probably not extremely dire.

Maybe she has allergies? I know that's the only thing that makes my lips swell ever, and I can't imagine cats are that different. If she's otherwise doing ok I'd imagine she's fine—you can also always try giving her a little children's benadryl. I think I ended using a quarter of a tablet for Callie or some such when I was giving it to her as a sedative (which was vet approved, and there's per weight dosing info available online).
Calliope met her first dog today, a very-well-behaved-for-the-breed Jack Russell. Callie hissed at him and stood her ground (he was just mildly curious and sniffing at her a little), and then seemed tenuously ok for a bit. Then the dog tried to approach her again and she moved away a bit and got all puffy and looked about 2x as large as usual. We got the dog out soon after that, so hopefully she's not too upset but I was pleased that she wasn't as skittish as I'd have guessed, since I thought she would just run and hide the whole time. Makes me think that maybe she could eventually deal with another cat or a dog if she had time to adjust.

thanks, guys. I'm thinking allergies, too, though I can't imagine to what, since there's nothing new here lately. she was also wheezy, but that at least has calmed down.

Touchtouchtouch.
I spent like a half hour the other day watching Linus videos, most of which I'd seen before. I think the one where he pets the chair is still my favorite. Hugo and the printer is pretty good, too.
