My fantasy team and my reality team are both completely falling apart this week. God, I hate football.

Fuuuuck. My fantasy start-sit decisions this week were ATROCIOUS.
But the Redskins have come back to tie the game! Holy shit!

To combine both of those thoughts--I should have gone ahead and started Rex Grossman at QB. One interception, yes, but he's also got 300 yards, 4 TDs, and two 2 point conversions. 38 fucking points. Jesus.

And now DeSean Jackson just scored a TD on a punt return that should've been worth like 8.5 fantasy points and Yahoo isn't crediting me for it, despite the fact that it clearly shows up on their box score page for the game. Fucking HELL.
EDIT: Aaaaand as soon as I posted this, I hit refresh on the stat tracker page and the points finally showed up. I guess the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Bill said they were attributing it to Maclin. It'll get fixed, I hope!

Hah, I didn't realize Bill played fantasy football as well. Why isn't he in our league? We gotta make that happen next year.

He's in like four leagues this year. It's hilarious - he's on the couch all day Sunday with his laptop checking the fantasy updates and skyping with his best friend (all they talk about is football and fantasy). I'll try to get him into yours next year!

Excellent. That'd be way better than having to have a cyborg team again. Even though he's evidently way more serious about fantasy football than me and will probably kick my/our ass.

You know, I was complaining about my start/sit decisions earlier, and don't get me wrong, I definitely left significant points on the bench. But as far as I can tell, even my best starting lineup, which would have involved replacing Jason Campbell, Derrick Mason, Brandon Pettigrew and Brandon Jacobs with Kerry Collins, Lance Moore, Chris Cooley, and Steve Breaston, would have scored a total of 115 points, which still would have lost to McCabe's team by 4 points. And maybe more, because based on the way the stats are currently being reported I still can't tell if yahoo's gonna continue to register Breaston's fumble recovery as a touchdown for him or not. So yeah, even if I'd made every decision perfectly today, there still probably would have been much wailing and gnashing of teeth, and if anything it would have been even worse, to watch my team come back and nearly win, only to lose at the last second by the tiniest of margins.
In other words, it would have been a lot like watching that Redskins game today. God DAMN it.
P.S. If I had grabbed Rex Grossman instead of Jason Campbell as my fill-in quarterback, I could have won today. Who the fuck saw THAT coming? And speaking of Sexy Rexy, Redskins radio color man Sonny Jurgensen attributed the "intelligent play of the game" to Mike Shanahan, for starting Grossman over McNabb. I love Sonny like he's my favorite uncle but I wanted to shoot him for saying that.

Oh, that's APPALLING.
What's funny is that Jim may win his matchup with One Yard Short, who rightfully deserves to be champion of our league. And he may do it despite starting Kyle Orton, who didn't play today. It all depends on whether Matt Forte and Johnny Knox can combine to outscore Adrian Peterson by at least 5 points.
It's too bad blucas wasn't still playing this week; he could've started Tim Tebow, which I think would have perfectly fit the spirit of his fantasy team.

Really? Wow, I completely stopped paying attention this week.
On the Kyle Orton tip though, since he didn't play this week he actually ended up being a net positive compared to last week.

Man, my team is nothing if not scrappy. But 0.10 points is a pretty fragile margin until stat corrections post, and I'm sure Josh ain't gonna let me in the championship anyway!
Fun weekend of football
