Side note regarding Devin Hester breaking the career mark for return touchdowns:
He's scored 14 touchdowns in 74 games and 286 returns.
Brian Mitchell, previous record holder, had 13 touchdowns in 223 games and 1070 returns.
Shit is bonkers.

Hey, Brian Mitchell! I remember those days.

Anyway, the trade deadline is already passed. And plus, if thermo wins it will just kind of put the capper on this entire ridiculous season.

In Andrew's revisionist take on the NFL, the team who scores the most touchdowns in a season would automatically be awarded the Lombardi Trophy

Sounds like it could've worked for the XFL, anyway.

Yeah guys, fantasy football is about planning and execution, not stats.

That's my point though: of course fantasy football is mostly luck, so why did Andrew and others spend five or six pages in the last thread grousing childishly about my team's performance? If it wasn't for luck, the championship would be decided on draft day.

I didn't disagree with you, I just wanted to make jokes. On the other hand, every league needs a villain. If you happen to fit the bill because you're luckier than most, what the hey.

Thermo, we just wish you would have scored more points, like someone who's not such a jerk would have.

Hey did you guys hear about the Christmas present that Hester got for his wife?

She made him return it.

Also, guys, I know it was right before a page break, but I get nothing for this?  Not a single yuk?

Hey Josh, Yahoo gave Colston one more yard. Thermo and Nowhere tied. I would assume that the higher seed gets the win in the event of a tie, but the bracket still shows Thermo in the title game.

Perhaps the QB yards give Thermo a win in the thousandths digit?

edit: Passing and return yards are per 25 yards, so nonzero digits in the thousandths place aren't possible. They tied at 90.92. Never seen that before.

edit: Jim's joke. Maybe you need to be a Bears fan for it to work, sorta like the Church of Ditka.

Shine Blockas beat Nowhere during the season so Shine Blockas advance.

If they had split the season series (etc) the final tie break is seed, so then Nowhere would've advanced.

And yeah, I don't know that I've ever seen a playoff tie when going to the hundredths place. Damn.

Oh man, I've been away all weekend and didn't see that. Holy crap. Add another point to Thermo's "you lucky sumbitch" counts.

Thermo ain't lucky enough, unless you think his kicker's going to net him 70 points

edit: whoops, distance made that joke already

Really enjoying this Falcons/Saints game. Two powerful offenses being held in check by two defenses playing their best football of the year tonight.

The Falcons are fucking crazy good this year. I've been a moderate fan for ages, so it's strange to me after all this time to see them playing so well so consistently.

So I've got a decent chance of winning the consolation side. I'm down 13 and mine sex has the Eagles defense where I have vick and maclin.
