S3 just started filming.  Apparently he left the show, so they're going to have to spend an awkward few minutes at the top explaining why he's not there.  Which sucks, he's definitely the best part of that show.  They're writing in some new character to replace him.

Also, I cannot believe that Chandler beat Hamm and Buscemi.  Fuck yes.

What do we know about American Horror Story? That and the live action Dino Riders thing are the only new shows that look both dumb and entertaining.

The thing about American Horror Story is that it is a Ryan Murphy show.  It may be dumb and entertaining for like 4 episodes, then get increasingly grating and self-satisfied and run through 8 seasons of ever-more-absurd plot lines in half a season.

Or it will just suck from word go, which is what TV critics would have you believe.

I mean, I don't even like Lea Michelle or Cris Colfer, but fuck Ryan Murphy.

Yeah, I don't think there's much to be excited about this year, at least on the hour-long front.  There's supposed to be some decent-stuff-that-will-probably-get-cancelled premiering at midseason, though.

'Sexed-up gothic horror pastiche from the creator of Nip Tuck' sounds more like a dire warning than a proper series concept, but there's a part of me that could get down with that for a few episodes. But yes I am confident it will grow old fast, though.

If you amend that to "creator of Nip/Tuck and Glee, and adapter of Eat Pray Love" it starts to get a lot less fun too

FX lets some pretty sexy shit fly by basic cable standards. I ain't particularly wanna admit to watching that tabloid drama show with Courtney Cox a few years back but here I am admitting it.
