The way I look for people being racist is by Googling "racism"

If you Google "Occupy" and "racism" you will find dozens and dozens of racist tirades!
i mean it's bullshit to show a few idiots and act like they represent the whole, but it's not like that isn't Jon Stewart's logic half the time.

While Stewart is, as he keeps pointing out, a comedian and not a serious journalist, we should also point out, in his defence, that the few idiots he picks out are almost always elected members of government, not yahoos off the street, so they will by that fact alone be far more representative.

Also: okay, so?
What I mean is, I'm not sure how pointing out that Jon Stewart uses similar tactics somehow counters any arguments that that video was ridiculous. I'm sure there's a name for the specific fallacy you're committing, but I just woke up from an accidental nap, so fuck it.

i'm not trying to counter arguments that the video is ridiculous, i'm countering the title of this thread, which implies the stuff posted here represents conservatives as a whole. the video was ridiculous, and the guy was (probably) conservative, and i don't even know what i'm arguing anymore because 90% of republicans do seem to be crazy.

God almighty I want the jerks around me to stop calling themselves libertarian when they mean poor angry racist. One of my bosses talks a lot about his libertarian beliefs before he throws out the slurs and refers to his life experiences of other races.
