Have you considered the resurrecting thread?  It might seem counter-intuitive that he'd be more likely to see it than a thread with his screen name, but that thing's got eerie powers.

Also, there were like 11 days between the creation of this thread and his last post... ?

I am moved, flattered, and a little turned on by this thread.

As my ticket for re-entry to LPTJ, this 13th day of September two thousand and eleven, I submit a limerick written last month for a friend living a few miles from this nuclear power plant in Pennsylvania:

LIMERICK GENERATING STATION

There once was a station near Philly
That generated rhymes willy-nilly.
"It may be in poor taste,
But we've no nuclear waste!"
Bragged the board, whose plant name was plain silly.

The remarkable thing about this limerick is that it was written in complete ignorance of the limerick generating station right here in LPTJ. Cosmos, you're a fucking trip. You hear?

And Grace - will you ever forgive me for holding out on your science poem fix? In atonement, I offer a new one: an occasional poem to commemorate the Type 1A supernova in the Pinwheel Galaxy. Discovered by a lab here in Berkeley, it's been visible (with binoculars) in the N. hemisphere near the handle of the Big Dipper these past few weeks:

Rays, An Omnium-Gatherum

Poem was written years ago, and published in the defunct journal Isotope.

As I believe Dick once said, upon re-entry: I am ready for an LPTJ experience.

There is an outlet shopping center in Limerick, and the power plant looms above it in a threatening way, like, I'm so glad the clothes I'm buying are discounted, because in three months I will have weird cancer arms and won't be able to wear this shirt anymore.
