That's also the kind of thing you might see on the supermarket checkout line for 9.99, and think, 'hey i liked the first one.' Does he want my porcelain pig collection, do you think? I have several that I collected totally against my will. And other pig stuff that's not porcelain.

My dad's gf collects elephant statuary, indoor and outdoor, of all manners and sizes. Compulsively. I don't get it. Their place in Charleston is starting to look like Allan Quatermain's house

I don't remember how or why the initial pig item was hilariously, unmistakably relevant to 13-year-old me. In fact, I remember not really understanding how or why at the time, but my mom basically couldn't NOT buy it for me. And then all pig gifts for Brian were hilarious by association forever after.

"Hey brian I got you a present."

"Oh cool WHAT?"

"It's a PIG WITH WINGS"

"I'm going to college as far away as possible."
