How can I stop myself from eating all this risotto
There is a whole stick of butter in it and I will die but I also have no self control
...think about how delicious it would be later as arancini?
I got nothing

ya know, cats, a stick of butter isn't _that_ much is it? (Here it's 250g, but US ones are smaller I think)

I just looked at a butter converting website (NO LIE THIS EXISTS) and it says 113g
So, less than your stick of butter but still probably something I should not eat all of!

I saw a thing about deep fried butter being a thing in... texas? last year. I'm all for deep frying things, but that does sound pretty foul.

Amy's Organic 3 Cheese pizza w/tomatoes: really tasty! You can really taste the olive oil and the goat cheese is surprisingly flavorful. Not bad for five bones.

I went to this burger place last night that is all organic and has a bunch of local ingredients and you pick what to put on your burger and what kind of burger on a sheet like sushi. It was good though I need to tweak my combinations. They tell you how many local farms you've supported on your receipt. It was pretty rad.

Wow, that looks so good. I'm simultaneously sad and glad that you and your ice-cream expertise are a vicarious experience for me :-)

the base was loosely based on this:
http://www.saveur.com/article/Recipes/Jenis-Ice-Cream-Base
I'd been meaning to try corn syrup--I've read that it helps ice cream stay soft after it ripens. to follow the progress, I've been eating a bite every 20 minutes or so...

Jeni's Ice Cream is awesome—I was thinking when I saw your fb posts that that reminded me of their chevre cherry flavor actually. If their pints weren't so expensive (about $10 at my local Whole Foods), I'd buy it more.
