It just feels like.. Suddenly heavy? Like shoving? It really doesn't feel like a movement, just suddenly very full? It's hard to explain. It happens if I've been hunched over a table drawing, or once when I was trying to sleep on my left side, and when I bend over to get files at work. It's probably just organs squashing together uncomfortably but "the baby hates it!" is what comes out of my mouth.

Ok, yes, that makes sense. Almost taut, kind of? But not so much the skin across the top, but internally? Yay babies! How are you feeling generally, pregnancy-wise?

When are you due, cats?
Today I figured out that rather than coaxing Marin to sleep on my chest and then trying to very gently return her to the bassinet without waking her, it's much easier to get her to sleep and then plop her in the reclined car seat on the desk next to my computer while I try to get some work done.

I am due July 9! I hear carseats are magic for baby sleeping.
I almost never feel sick anymore, which is nice, but now I'm constantly hungry and have annoying sleep issues. Having to get out of bed at 2am because of sudden-onset "oh god I am STARVING" feelings isn't very fun. But oh well.
Last week was the blood draw for the quad screen, but they haven't called to say anything, so I dunno about that. I have an ultrasound on the 14th and I think we're bringing our moms and making it a Thing because they both asked if they could come to one. Eek.

Today appears to be the day where no matter what I do, my belly sticks out farther than my boobs.

At some point, eventually, yeah, but certainly not just yet. Three years from now? Four years from now? Five?

I would google Braxton Hicks if I were you :-) sounds like that to me. I hardly had any with the big boy, but I had them a lot with E (starting maybe around 20 weeks) but I also felt them both wriggling around 15 weeks. The big boy was called Bumblebee in utero cos that's what he felt like, actually a bit more like a stranded fish, but I like the idea of a bumblebee better.

This is all kind of doing the opposite for me. I usually am baby crazy central but hearing all the poop stories and the pains are makin me be all..... :/ about it. Working with a 40 y/o woman about to give birth and hearing her say "PEACOCKS! Don't ever get pregnant! Don't get married, don't get pregnant, don't have kids." almost every day for the last 9 months hasn't helped.

Oh man, pregnant at 40 is a whole different kettle of fish from being pregnant in your 20s or early 30s. Or at least it was for me...well, I was 38 with E, and hated it so much that I promised I'd never do it again. Different for different people though I guess.

I swore I'd never get pregnant again, then the minute she was out, I was all, OMG SHE RULES let's have another. Some gals I know LOVE being pregnant, it's different for everybody.

My little guy turns 4 months old today!
He officially had a genuine first laugh. It was while I took a rectal temp. Hee hee. He's in love with his hands and feet and smiles at everyone he meets. He's pretty awesome! Now if only he started sleeping a little longer at night, all would be great.

We had the anatomy scan today, and everything looked normal and healthy according to the radiologist!
Unfortunately the baby was being a jerk (posing for the camera!) so we still aren't sure of the sex. She said she would guess girl, but wouldn't put money on it, so we'll just have to wait to be certain.

i can only say, pick something meaningful. something that has a story you can tell yer wee one when s/he is being a jerk and posing for the camera outside of your womb.
or something that goes well with hugo and linus.
or erskine.
or iPood.
