Sorry to be dense, and I apologise if it's been asked/answered before, but how do I convert flac files to mp3s? In 'dense Ink' language please.

Or, alternatively, how do I play flac files?

Thanks

it's a media player that will play just about any video/music file going without the need to download extra codecs.

it can be found here

dB PowerAmp will convert flac to mp3; WinAmp will play flac as is and scrobbles, too.

foobar plays flacs as well. Any programme worth a damn should play it, but some portable devices don't (I had to replace the music player on my phone, for instance).

Yeah, thanks everyone. It's all sorted now. I'm a creature of habit, so I went for mountmccabe's suggestion for a converter.

Happily, I am now able finally to enjoy the Complete Recorded Works of Trixie Smith.
