i'm making a skeeter davis tape

so, instead of being a player or a writer so much, i think i'd like to focus on putting out music by other people for a little while.

in this effort, I am going to try to put together a compilation of kids of today playing songs by skeeter davis. This will be the first thing i've done that's not a manipulator alligator release. this will probably be a very small run of cassettes, with hand printed sleeves and maybe a sticker too or something.

are there any lovers of skeeter davis here? do you know who she is? remember the suicide music from "girl, interrupted"? remember "I can't stay mad at you"?

anyone want to cover a skeeter davis song (or a davis sisters song, if you'd like) and put it on a cassette? as deconstructed or as spot-on as you'd like.
