what is making me seriously annoyed right now

jackhammers started right outside my bedroom window before 8 this morning, waking me up out of a sound sleep conviced something was exploding. i just looked outside and there's a huuuuge hole at the foot of my driveway, and big trucks all around doing something with the water pipes. my car is in my driveway. i am so trapped here right now. i'm shooting sonic death glares their way to no avail. UGH.

i live in franklin, a suburb of boston, so this is pretty abnormal. even when i lived in boston i didn't have this problem, though living on comm ave vs boylston helped matters quite a bit.  maybe dad or ali got a notice about this at some earlier point, but ali is in philly and dad is in indiana and no one bothered to mention it to me, the only person who is affected. who knows.

What's annoying me right now is Windows.  I fucking hate it with a deep burning passion.  Sure, old news, get on the wagon, whatever.  But my long-suffering computer (seriously, this thing is like five years old, practically an antique in PC-terms) is finally starting to do that disturbing thing where it just crashes for no discernable reason.  It'll just shut down and restart.  When I comes back to life and gives me that "System Has Recovered from a Serious Error" message that suggests that I probably just need to update some drivers or something.  And there's a link that leads me to the Microsoft Updates page.  However, clicking that link is fucking useless, cos the page will not load and just freezes up IE.  I tried opening it in Mozilla, but the fucking asshole jesusshit website tells me it'll only work on IE.  So yeah, computer continues to crash and I'm powerless to stop it.

Seriously annoying: Looking forward all week to getting Homicide Season 1 Vol. 2 from Netflix and sitting down with a nice cup of cocoa and watching it tonight. It came in the mail today, I made the cocoa, turned on the TV, opened the Netflix envelope, and found that the disc had a GIANT CRACK all the way through it, so no Homicide for me, for at least 3 more days.

failing my first class, despite sitting on a ~90 average, because i missed two classes that i had no idea were happening, and because of that having to pay several thousand dollars and having to retake a bullshit class that i never needed to take in the fucking first place, also meaning that all the friends i've made thus far in my class, i won't be with anymore, and also that i have to tack another month onto the 13 that i have to stay in this godforsaken pisshole of a state.

I can't run right now because I have compartment syndrome in my calf muscles. I had it 5 years ago and it wrecked my life for about, oh...4 years. I may have to have surgery again only I don't know if I can afford it. I can't live without running, though while I'm running I try to convince myself that I can. Already, after two days off I am sliding down a hill from which I fear there may be no recovery. Just when everything was going good for me. Dammit. Damn Damn Damn.
