Marbecks is a pretty damn good store. It seems to kinda aim at older music collecting types. They always have a pretty good bunch of 60's/psych/prog/classic-rock CD's that other stores don't bother stocking.
That's where I got my copy of Songs About Fucking, so it's not like they stock only Neil Young live discs.

I think your thinking of Songs About Fucking Horses, Young's little known T&G release.

Yeah, I actually registered here ages ago, but took up residence in the Mountain Goats forums, which seemed much more inviting with little enough posts to keep up with. I don't know why i decided to come back here all of a sudden...

Dunno about a full tour but the Clean are playing Cake Shop a few nights at the end of November (presumably while they're in NYC working on the album).

So, I'm listening to the Verlaines for the first time. Oh, umm, this is pretty great (the greatest hits comp, which is all I could get my hands on).

So, if you were to see David Kilgour live on a Halloween night, what would you wear?

Scuba gear? Beatnik outfit? Or go as Franz Kafka? Or be provocative, a Tall Dwarf, that kind of thing.

Yeah, I agree. No real urgency though, just been a while since I've listened to it.

More importantly, I'm now gonna have to go and buy another fucking copy of Topless Women, which soundtrack I have now purchased four times. (damage, loss, lending to friends and damage again...)

Just saw David Kilgour and the 8's at High Dive in Seattle. It was Halloween. David dressed up as an emo rocker, except he just wore an Emo Philips black mop wig and used the phrase "fucking geezers" every other phrase during the banter. Homer Simpson came on stage to dance on the third-to-last song. Excellent show, although could have been more attended. Ah well. David is one of the sweetest and friendliest people I've ever met. Good times.
