Okay, so last Wednesday was my half-life anniversary of being a vegetarian.  I stopped eating meat when I was 12, and this was my 12-year anniversary.  I think that's pretty awesome.  I'd like to get some sort of commemorative tattoo, but I can't really decide what to get.  Like just a vegetable seems a little silly, though I have been considering a radish.  I just wanted to see if anyone else had any ideas.  The location I'm thinking of is my upper-outer thigh.  Like just below the hip-ish.  Suggestions?

You're a girl I take it?  A radish is an awesome idea.

hmmm that's a tough one, I was thinking though something that maybe symbolizes what you feel the greatest benefit(s) of being vegetarian for 12 years has been for you.

So maybe think about those reasons you went vegetarian and what it means to you in your life and something will come to you maybe.

make a list, "reasons", "benefits" maybe writing it out will help you think of something.

A picture of a big steak, with the words "I DO NOT EAT THESE" scrawled underneath.

I'll go ahead and 3rd dcdave's suggestion

instead of mario, you could have princess doing it, if that's your thing.

I can make a screen shot for you if need be.

Man, I want to tell everyone about the KFC tattoo I've been wanting to get forever, but I don't want to be selfish and derail this thread.

I'll fourth the Super Mario Brothers.  Go with Luigi though; Princess's float power was overrated and Luigi controlled better.

Instead of just pulling up the radish, you could do an action shot of (insert mario 2 character) throwing the radish at an enemy, but instead of one of those little ambiguous monsters you could throw it at a dripping steak, or like ronald mcdonald or something

A potato, so it is not only a vegetarian tattoo but also a Wayside School reference.

I was thinking about the potato thing, actually, but even though it's a cool reference, I'm just not comfortable going through my life with a potato on my leg, y'know?  I'd also been thinking along the lines of the no meat ideas... and I hate to say it, since this was like a "give me ideas" thread, but... after reading the ideas, most of which are great, I think it's reinforced the desire to just get a simple radish.  Thanks for the help with that though. Very Happy
Perhaps I'll post a picture once I get it done.

Right on. Really, the quickest path through the game almost always required Luigi. Use Toad to rack up lives with the coin game in world 4, but otherwise Luigi the whole game through.

If you want to go for osbcure value, use one of the original characters rather than the Mario ones on the tattoo. That'll draw some wtfs.

Dude, tattooing Luigi pulling on a radish on my thigh to celebrate my eating habits would be more WTF than I could handle.

Sayin'.

In agreement with you here G.I, however if Luigi was waving a potato peeler in one hand, and a marble handed chopping knife in the other, well...that's just hot.

You could go with everybody's favorite mobster veggietale character, Mr. Lunt

I would have fully supported any of the Mario 2 references.

Now I kind of want one of those.
