rorschach is awesome.
i fucking hate having to wear a halloween costume though, i must say. i'm just not the costume type, but every year my job makes me show up to work in costume on the saturday before halloween. a couple years ago i bought a costume like the murderer in the movie "scream" wears (is that costume based on the painting "the scream" by edward munch? i sure hope so), and now i just wear it every year when my work forces me to wear one.
we're moving in mid-november this year, so i'm hoping that nobody will even feel like worrying about costumes this time around and i can get out of it.

Last year I made my entire costume about 2 hours before the party I wore it to. I was a sandwich:
This year I imagine I'll do something similair. I'm thinking maybe an ice cream cone.

Josh, I
your costume pic. This year, how about whole wheat? Or would you consider marbled rye (might take more time).
My best ever costume was when I was 6 or 7, I was a parrot, with a pirate (action figure stapled on by my mom) on my shoulder.

Man, that's a mean thing to do to a lady.
I finished my doghouse last night, now I gotta find large white cartoon animal gloves, this is a situation. Also a situation: that nobody will remember this freaking cartoon.
Best costume I saw on the streets of NYC last year (that I didn't make) - Japanese dude dressed as the Entered Apprentice from Cremaster 3. Props, yo.
I love Halloween. If we could combine it with Christmas and make it every day I'd vote for that.

That's one bloody incredible costume idea there.
And the whole Halloween/Christmas everyday combo? Damn, my boyfriend is all about that too. We have a HALLOWEEN TREE in our house, which is to say, it's the Christmas tree done up with creepy eyeball lights, those fake cobwebs, and Halloween ornaments, which weren't too hard to find actually.

planning to go out as a tornado this year. like take thick wire and bend curves to fit over the shoulders, wind it into a spiral, and fix cotton batting to paper-mache curved into a sorta cloud shape? spray paint shades of grey to make it look real stormy, then glue in train-model trees and toy cars and shit. plastic farm animals! still needs to be assembled... the only thing i still need is heavy-duty wire and am hoping the hardware store comes through for me on this one. haha... otherwise my costume is gonna be two holes in an old bedsheet.
my best friend is dressing up as a lawn gnome.
