Even though I do use Foobar, I can appreciate the significance, and as jeb said, it is kinda sad.

Hm, so what is a good media to use instead? Or should I just keep on with the latest Winamp update?

The very best there is. Kind of overwhelming at first, but one soon realizes that what at first seems like a massive waterfall of options is in fact just a sign of it's unrivaled versatility. You can set it up with all manner of DSPs, upsampling, ASIO, uncountable output options, or you can pare it down to almost nothing, and give it an almost non-existant memory footprint.
Right now I have it set up using a soft clipping limiter, 96k upsampling, and crossfeed when using headphones, output is 24 bit padded to 32, using kernel streaming. Shit's never sounded better.

Hm, it should. One of the reasons I love it is that it plays everything right out of the gate.
I guess I did neglect to mention the part about it being finicky sometimes.
Assuming it gave some verbose error message, what did that say?
We might want to do this over instant messenger or email or something to prevent a critical thread derailment.
