i suppose you have a point. but it does seem to me, that in general, lifetime achievement awards seem to be being given very liberally these days. but i suppose awards as a rule have been cheapened. i just can't get over michael moore winning the "palme d'or" at cannes this year. i haven't seen wong kar wai's new film yet but no way could michael moore's wildest hopes for film be better than anything wong kar wai could do on an off day. slight tangent but it's been burning me since he won.
