I just want to address the meme thing:  I've seen a couple of people refer to this as a "meme", but it is not. 

youre one of those guys who would get all bitchy when someone uses ironic in the technically wrong, but still extremely commonplace way arent you

i will totally admit to being one of those guys. shit is so fucking annoying. rain on your wedding day is just something that sucks. things that suck aren't ironic. unless they only suck because of a very specific set of circumstances, and under any other circumstances would rule. THEN they are ironic. rain doesn't only suck if you're getting married that day.

yeah, seriously, we put up with it from pollo, but it's hardly accepted. and if the rest of us started doing it back whenever pollo did it, eventually this board would suck just as bad as every single other message board on the entire internet. i've really enjoyed the fact that this board has spent two and a half years and counting miraculously avoiding that fate, and i think a lot of other people here would agree with me. so, although i totally understand the reason you reacted the way you did, i'm glad jeb spoke up, and i agree with what he's saying.

and honestly, if every other message board handled their own personal pollos the way we handle pollo on here, "internet message board" would not be synonymous with "pointless argument". but hey, whattaya gonna do?

honestly, andrew and jeb, this kind of snideness and condescension as well as out and out rudeness is kind of why i don't post here much and stick to other places.  i just get turned off and then forget to come back for weeks at a time.  i guess if it works for you guys, awesome.  just wanted to say that i don't see the reason for it.  and i have been to other great places on the internet.

i don't know what you're talking about here--it's not like i had a personal problem with anything you said to piss crystal off. i was merely trying to take the position of "if someone pisses you off on this board (or really, the internet in general), being shitty with them is only going to escalate things, and you should probably deal with your feelings in a more calm manner." the only reason i used you as a particular example was because it was you who pissed crystal off in the first place. i wasn't mad at you, so i didn't feel the need to be like "hey pollo, these are my feelings, which i will now express to you directly", because i didn't have any particular feelings invested in the conversation. i was just trying to get crystal to chill out so the thread didn't get ruined by people hurling insults. that kind of thing doesn't happen very often on this board, and i like that.

They taste fine as an adult, but the snack is even better when you're a little kid, and some adult gives 'em to you, 'cause then you can pretend they're actual ants, and the feel of the sticky raisins bursting open between your teeth is kinda like an ACTUAL BUG which is TOTALLY GROSS and you're all "EWWWW, I'M EATING ANTS!  YOU GUYS!  YOU GUYS!  I'M EATING ANTS YOU GUYS!" and everyone's like "GROOOOOSSSSSS"
