Qualia. Why bring up a word nobody can agree on what it means? For instance, the dominant way (as it's been presented to me) of using the term qualia makes it a nonsense to talk of it as subjective, qualia being the elements (properties, qualities) of a object as they are presented to experience independent of any experience.

Reese, it's been commonly accepted since the time of Kant that the taste of something is a product of the mind, not of the thing being tasted. Same goes for colour. You get people who disagree, but it's a pretty well-established fact.

Yup. Johnny says it at least once or twice in the first season (around the time when he's about to get out of the hospital--Bubs is hoping that maybe he'll go into recovery or at least slow down, but Johnny asks him who has the best package and says "I'm a viking, homes") and again in the third, not long before... well, you know.
