I am imagining Greg being punched by Virginia Heffernan's baby. I am laughing and laughing. Oh, how I delight and intrigue myself.

I'm drinking a big can of beer at the hostel with a strict no-alcohol policy while I post.

Somebody fucking talk to me!  I'm paying for this!

Iowa is a pretty good state to drive through.  I think Iowa drivers are generally far superior to MN ones, especially in that they usually don't drive in the left hand lane unless they're passing.

If you get really good cherry tomatoes and leave them in a bowl with raisins in a hot room till they're hot room temperature, then eat them without thinking about it... they taste like strawberries!

$20?

they are becoming crazy cheap round these parts, mind, so don't take the half-assed guess of one work-fried englishman as your only guidance.

Did you get a blowjob at the rest stop, Josh?

Not that I'm aware of, but really who knows what goes on around me when I'm asleep with my windows open a little bit.

I dunno what it is.  They're just pleasant.  Like little tiny bits of not-Iowa inside of Iowa. There was a thunderstorm at about 3 this morning!  It was great.

Also, on a random note, I was at the Antiquarium aka amazing fucking record store in Omaha earlier and was perusing the records and I saw a Tri State Killing Spree record (Some Thoughts On the Subject of Being Alive) and I was like, "Hey! Whoa! Andrew!"

Unfortunately, no.  I already had a few things in hand that I can't afford as it is.  But if Andrew is really hurtin' for cash and needs the royalties, I can swing back by and grab it...

my band already got paid for that record in a percentage of the pressing, so don't sweat that. but if you want to own my band's record, well, you can't go wrong with buying it from a local store. esp. since they've probably had it for years.

i forgot to mention this earlier, because of the stuff about my band's record, but: last night a girl came over to eric's house to hang out with kevin (eric's roommate/drummer in his band). when she got there, kevin brought her into the living room and said "you guys all know ______, right?" and i looked up and realized that the girl hanging out with kevin was a girl that i'd asked out over a year ago, and not seen since maybe 3 weeks after that happened. she was all "oh shit, hey andrew! it's been a long time, how've you been?", which was not what i expected, and completely defused any potential awkwardness. but still... dude. that was weird.
