Maybe I should try Camino?  I dunno, Firefox seems to work great -- it's better than Safari in pretty much every way, I find.  Faster, less buggy.

Camino is the rendering engine of Firefox in a cocoa implementation. So the interface is more responsive, feels more 'Mac-y'. The downside is that you don't get to use any of the add-ons of Firefox. But if you can give up those, it's a good browser. I used it for a long time.

I suppose it's about time to retire this holiday desktop. It's a crappy mobile phone picture of my little tree, but I did like it.

The title of this thread just makes me want to say something along the lines of "Yeah baby, I'd bend you over THAT desktop!"

But that would be so fucking crude

it's supposed to be sung by marvin gaye, because i'm classy and not just a dog.

my background for 2 weeks has been a mustachioed charles bronson carefully admiring a glass of fine brandy

Tempted to put up Meldrick Lewis instead, but there are no high-resolution photographs on the Internet.

My desktop is the realist picture ever, scanned it from an old issue of Discover magazine.

Current incarnation:

Two photos of my dad diving around 1956, scanned and crudely manipulated to look like bleached out sepia.

Aw thanks.

The skies and sea were different colours in the two photos, so I had to tinker with them to get them to match and it ended up like that.  Pretty happy with it.  I keep hearing a plummy BBC Radio accent describing the scene- "And now, on this fine, still morning, the pier at Bray gleaming in the background, Mr Kenneth P________ is ascending the board for his final dive of the 1956 Wicklow county championship..."

i'm having trouble with this. i'd like to post my desktop because i'm rather proud of it, but the print screen function doesn't seem to be doing much for me. my "prt sc" is on the "insert" in a box, which i take to mean you operate it via the "Fn" key, which also has a box around it. but i've tried holding "Fn" down and pressing "prt sc" and also hitting them in succession, still no luck!

edit: but what am i looking for anyway? how will i know it has saved the screen cap?
