And, although it sometimes feels a little futile, I still believe that if I say that you are indeed an A-list gent enough you'll begin to believe it.

Go with this feeling:
"you know, you've always been awesome, but now you don't have to get past the whole long-hair barrier that is there with some girls. you'll be UNSTOPPABLE now!" so yeah, part of me thinks it's not unreasonable at all for me to make a play for her.

Not this one:
she is, as i said, gorgeous, and super-cool, and very intelligent, and therefore the kind of a-list catch that i tend to think a c-list dude like me has no chance with.
or this one:
the "dude, she's outta your league" voices are getting louder in my head.

But you know this already.

thanks, and thanks to diesel as well. honestly, the latter voices pretty much HAVE won out in my head over the past 24 hours, but i am pretty sure that she will be at the show tonight so i guess we'll see.

How do you know she's not reading this? I mean, after your last potential partner showed up here, I'd be paranoid as hell.

Unless this whole discussion is a really crafty meta-flirtation, which I would probably find pretty charming were I in her shoes.

i suppose i technically don't know. i just can't imagine. that other girl who showed up here had talked to me enough that i had mentioned that i was on the internet in a variety of ways, one of which being that i posted here. so i suppose she just remembered the url. which was surprising, but not impossible. for the girl in question to actually find this page would be a near miracle.

which makes it sound like it would be a good thing, and i actually can't imagine that it would be.

So I've been considering signing up for netflix again... but I remember last time and what that subscription did to me, the compulsion to watch as many movies as possible, the monster I became. But my VCR died, so the local shops video back catalog isn't so much fun anymore. also I feel like last time I quit because I felt they had slighted me in some way, I don't remember. but I'm willing to hold the grudge I think.

I just drunk dialed my ex-boyfriend and we had a really good conversation.  I am unsure of if that is a good thing...

Jesus, the thought of that creeps me out...

I mean, I've been more honest than I ever have with anyone in any relationship with this new girl (this is dkT patting himself on the back for trying to abandon his womanizing habits), but nonetheless...

If I started seeing someone who mentioned a web site he posted on, you bet I'd check it out. Not in an obsessive stalker sort of way, more just to see what he's interested in and what he's like with others. It seems like a totally normal thing to do.

Oh, I was uncertain about something last night, but now I can't recall what it was exactly. Uncertainty begets uncertainty, folks! A vicious, ambiguous cycle!

Something like 7 people have dropped out of my program since this semester started...

I feel like quitting every fucking day, but I stick it out.  I'll crash and burn before I give up, but I can't help but imagine how nice it would be...

Oo, this is like a movie, or an episode of a premium television series, starring Lois Henrickson as Chris and Frank Harlow as Dennis.

Lance Henriksen as you and Jean Harlow as Chris? That might be hotter. If we could use a time machine. I don't think either are in mint condition just now.
