Myke!  How you doing?  You know what is weird? I can't finish writing songs.  I'm trying right now, in another firefox tab.

I haven't written a song on my own in forever.  All my musical attention's been on the band.

I haven't been playing much music in general, but I'm gettin' back into it.  I'm playing some kind of show with a band of friends in December.  I might be playing musical saw with them too, which will be fun, 'cause I've never done that with folks. Just, you know, alone in my living room.

Oh man, if there's one thing my band needs, it's singing saw.

Should I ever be in Georgia, that can be arranged.

Boyz II Men just sang God Bless America on the baseball game, and that shit was whack.  Bad arrangement, I think.  Plus, I don't know where Deep Voiced Dude was.

I am out side now. It's nice out here! Full moon, cool breeze. I can hear some scary recalcitrant screaming off in the distace. That'd be the kids with enough money to live on die Hauptstrasse der Altstadt. Also kids at the chach bar am das Ende der Hauptstrasse.

I just lit the CATOLANTERN. It is glowing fiercely.

The lady is in Chicago for the next four days. Simulated bachelorhood scares the bejeezus out of me; i came home and said hi to the cats but it was not very satisfying. If you've got a loved one GRAB HOLD WITH BOTH HANDS

what's the difference between this thread and the random thread?

band practice was sweet tonight. we're writing this new song that's totally got a high on fire-style riff in it. however, i think i made the wrong post-band practice hangout situation decision.

I would hazard to distinguish them by time. This is immediate randomness, whereas the random thread can occur anywhere in time.

I'm drinking tea and eating dark chocolate bullets. Gin will inevitably follow. Nice.

Well, in my mind, the random thread was just for the posting of random crap.  That was started by Heathcote, in the days of Long Threads.  But we also had a thread started by...I think Diesel Powered, and that was a thread that was like a chatroom for whoever was around.

I'm at work about 47 hours earlier than I normally would be - and on my day off.

But I started reading Michael Moorcock's collected Jerry Cornelius stories on the way to work and it's amaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing.

Hi Almanzo

I actually showed up at work a little late this morning because it is more fun to sit at home and play with a baby than it is to go to work.  But here I am now, and I was rewarded with samosas!  Work can be pretty cool sometimes
