I should really just keep a list of the mindblowingly stupid shit I've seen said on national TV tonight.

The best was Stephanopolous, explaining Clinton's support among Latinos is due to the fact that "Women are the center of the family in that culture.  They support Clinton, and it kind of radiates out."  Yep, Latinos voted for Clinton because their moms told them to, that's exactly what happened you douchebag.

Seriously, even the repping for Dick Durbin when there's no reason for him to.  Sniffle.

Not sure what to make of this. But Barack Obama has just crept ahead of Hillary Clinton in Missouri. With 97% reporting he's now ahead of her by a little more than 2500 votes.

don't call it a comeback

California primary is proportional.  Sooooooo.

I think if it's w/in 10 pts it's a victory.   Especially if Edwards tosses the delegates to Obama.

dude did you not see the polls over the last week?  It was close, some of them showing Obama up.  Really it's moot though, because delegates are decided county by county, so Obama could lose the state but still get almost as many delegates out of it.

xpost with dave:

I think Obama being able to say "I won CA" would've helped the momentum a lot, especially if it's going to come down to OH (curse ye pollo) and TX, even if it doesn't matter who gets the higher percentage.

Obama should dominate in Louisiana, hopefully with ND, MN, KS, CO going for him he'll do well in Washington State too.  Next Tuesday he should be able to pick up DC and MD - Maybe Virginia?  I dunno.

If the Democrats continue to back the unelectable candidate, you're right.

Remember when people were voting for John Kerry in the primary specifically *because* they thought he was "electable" in comparison to Dean and Edwards?  Good times.

Yeah well even if I agreed with you, I don't have like a really deep well of hope w/r/t the decisions made by the Dems anymore.

And McCain ain't gonna win regardless of who he's up against

dieblue, clinton is just like the repubs are choosing mccain, really. (disclaimer i kinda like mccain but he divides the republican party). the fact that i, a fervent liberal twit, have affection for mccain and his 96 year old mother (in 2 days) might be why he's not a good republican candidate.

McCain has to win Ohio OR Pennsylvania if he goes against Clinton.  I'm pretty sure he can win both.

El_Josh, have you heard anybody say anything good about HC around here?  I think Obama's got Neb's 7 delegates wrapped up...especially since he's visiting in a couple days.

I'm pretty sure he won't take OH. There'd been a real Democratic groundswell round here the past couple years

Head to head polls show McCain beating Clinton and losing to Obama in those hypothetical situations. Not that it means a whole lot at this point, but still.

Also, if Bloomberg enters the race, which I think I read that he would if Clinton were nominated but not if Obama was nominated, then he'd take votes away from Clinton and pretty much hand the thing to McCain.

I haven't heard anyone say much at all. It seems like the people I know and the people they know are all for Obama. Seems like there are a bunch of rallies and stuff for him and nothing for Hilary. I think I'm gonna try to go to that thing here on Thursday for him.
