Andrew, that sucks.  My uncertainty doesn't really have that much to do with yours but it is about people needing to think ahead about the possibility of screwing someone over in the near future when making plans:

My good friend/roommate has suddenly started just staying the night at her parent's every night and not really talking to me or hanging out anymore either.  We didn't have a fight or anything, and I'm positive it is money related but I'm pretty sure she is going to move out soon without telling me or our other roommate.  I'm worried because she's my friend, I miss her and she's probably going through a tough time.  I'm miffed because she already gets a discount on rent and she knew what she would have to spend to live here when she moved in two months ago and why wouldn't she let me know what is going on both emotionally and monetarily but especially emotionally?

I also just got back from a sweet relaxing weekend in Orlando and I'm not feeling FM at all anymore.  I'm uncertain about staying here for another two months, but I gotta.

this sucks.

I'm sorry guys, thats really horrible. Hope your friendships are salvagable and music is in your futures.

I'm all fortune cookie over here tonight, me.

I have been waiting (and calling the doctor's office twice a day) for the results of my blood work.  I want to know what ails me!  also, I am uncertain whether the antibiotics I am taking are what's making me nauseous all the time.  being unhealthy makes me epically uncertain.  meh.

i'm sorry miles, i hope you get better soon.  i make it a habit of asking every doctors office to send me a copy of my labs.  those would be good to have.  what's ailing you and what were they testing (if you don't mind me asking)

Oh, also, some guy called "Skully" tried to sell me some acid at the grocery store. "You guys look like cool heads. Just give me a call sometime."

Oh, if only he'd added, "I'm a medical doctor."

Hmm, I just moved my (supposedly temporary, but I'm thinking it might be temporary for a long time) table at work in a way that I don't have my back to the door anymore and therefore can see who's coming/looking inside my office, but the downside is that I have nothing left keeping me from spending too much time reading LPTJ. I suppose I'll have to rely on my amazing self-discipline!

Look, I was just trying to distract from my own lack thereof. I had somehow decided when I got up today to spend the morning at home in order to make some progress on reading the book that is my current research-related bed-time reading (it's too heavy to keep carrying around between work and home, so it stays home until I've finished it), and it's now 11 am and I haven't even opened on it. All I did today so far was post on LPTJ, reply to a friend's e-mail about having coffee together in the afternoon, and reply to one properly work-related e-mail (a three-liner).

Okay, I suppose I have been productive, then. Seriously, I hope you manage to get stuff done at some point! My own self-discipline is a bit shaky today mainky because I don't have anything urgent to do (and it's uni vacation, so there are not many people around), but that will change tomorrow at the latest.

Yeah, I think my main problem is that I'm just not able to crawl out of bed before half past nine these days. I did read three pages in the meantime, mind you Wink

i am  a poor person. moments ago, i went to the bank to withdraw 60$ for food, which to the best of my knowledge represented all my cash available for withdrawal. the machine returned three bills, which was good. this was expected. one of them was a hundred dollars, which i didn't see coming.

is this free money? if i spend it like free money, will it bite my ass tomorrow?

should i buy booze, i suppose, is what i'm asking you today?

Cuz if so, dogg, have a couple on me!

i'm kinda worried it does some sorta automatic inventory at the end of the day that will fuck me. but i think i'm gonna do the stupid thing anyway.

Fuck it man! Is there any real way for them to prove that you got a $100 and not a $20? You've got your receipts; they've got theirs. The burden of proof is on them.

So: drink up! And up! And up!

They probably somehow hooked you up with the 40€ that I left in an ATM machine the other week because I'm a muddle-headed fool.

Which is to say, have a drink on me, too!

It always makes me happy to hear that a bank screwed up and didn't screw the customer. Three cheers for free money.
