Soooo, I'm in Chiang Mai. Other than Tata Young and that Nicole Theriault record, what Thai albums should I be looking out for? I know nothing about Thai pop, and I'm not even sure that I'll like it, but it seems criminal not to buy at least one CD when I go to the night market in a few hours...

Is it too late for the night market? Def check out Lanna Commins though... recommended by last plane itself if you look through the back pages.

Or just buy some random discs and make us a mix, please.

it's not you Andrew -- it's been forever. I had to cut myself off because I was spending too much time here when I needed to be working. I've been thinking about falling off the wagon though...

Too late for the night bazaar, and I'm off to Cambodia in a couple of hours. I did find one cd stall last night but it was all western stuff. We stumbled onto a ladyboy show, and a couple of the songs they were lipsyncing to were awesome, but the people I asked either didn't know who sang those songs or didn't understand my question.
