Oh, well maybe you'd like them. I already thought they were on their slide by Hatecrew Deathroll. I enjoyed the first three LPs, and pretty much nothing else.

Yeah, man! No problem. My buddy Scott found it and I had to share it. I wish I could play guitar like that

he makes it look so effortless, like when hes playing the riff from turk... i mean i wish i could do anything in the world as well as he plays guitar
also ive been on a pretty serious HOF bender after missing them live. it doesnt really make up for it, but its rockin none the less.

the first act custom guitar shop (like where they actually build the guitars, not a store) was right around the corner from my old apartment. everything always looked really cool through the windows.

So I saw them for the very first time earlier this month and I don't think I ever got to post about it.
It was by far the roughest show that I've been to in years. It was fucking incredible though! I ended up hitting it right after school so I definitely looked out of place in a button down shirt, khakis, and boat shoes, but I didn't catch any static or fuzzy eyes. Everybody was having a hell of a time and HOF kicked incredible ass!

The last time I saw High On Fire was when they opened for Andew W.K. at the Fine Line in the Twin Cities. One of the best shows I've ever seen. Getting Matt Pike to sign my album in the alley behind the club was seriously one of the bizarrest and awesomest moments ever.
Anyways, I'm definitely going to see them open for Megadeth on the Gigantour. Other than Chris Broderick being on lead guitar (and hence, Marty-era solos being played faithfully, though I still think Mustaine needs to hire Jeff Waters for lead...), High On Fire is the only reason I'm going. Though I wouldn't say they'll make Megadeth look old. Mustaine is still the man, guys.
Anyways, yes. High On Fire is one of the best ever. Now that Byzantine is broken up they're my favorite currently active metal band.

That's not an interesting story, but I thought I'd tell you anyways.

it's such a bummer that marty friedman plays guitar for j-pop groups now instead of megadeth.

Mustaine is still the man, guys.
im going to have to disagree with this. he went hardcore born again christian and wont play some songs live any more, and cancelled shows with dissection and rotting christ because of their anti christian sentiments. thats some lameness.
also he hasnt put out a good album in 15 years, which is even lamer.

I've seen them before and it was absolutely intense. I tried to see them last week for the SXSW show with Motorhead, but got turned away from the venue for wearing a backpack. I was thoroughly bummed.

I thought I had clicked on the Vampire Weekend thread for a second and was thoroughly confused.
